The N-Compass Parts & Service system is designed to run on a standard 486DX or above PC with a CD-ROM Drive, 110 Meg of free Hard Disk Space, and 24 Meg of RAM running Windows 95. Due to the large number of graphics, it is recommended that the PC have a fast video card, local bus video is recommended. This release of NCompass TM is resolution independent. If your PC runs in 800x600 or 1024x768 256 color, you can run N-CompassTM in those resolutions. The startup screen will still appear in 640x480 but the parts pages and service pages will take advantage of the extra viewing
area.

Hyster Parts Manual
Parts manuals are accessed from the main screen by selecting a model series, a model and then a page from the Navigator. To return to the main screen anytime, click the Go to Main Screen
icon. If you were to select a model by clicking on the icon at the bottom of the main screen, followed by the model name, the system will launch the Navigator displaying available Parts Manual
Sections for that model.

Hi all,
I have installed this on a Dell D630 machine with windows XP SP3, and followed the attached instructions. Does not want to start, gives the following error:
An error has occured in module in the routine PASSWORD.FRM, Form_Load
Error message:
Object required
Execution will now continue. Please call (770) 6505793.
Anyone has any ideas what's wrong? Do I have to run it in VMware?
I really need EPC this as i have to repair few hyster machine for a customer.

Change your PC date to 2004

I have change it to 2004 when installing and when starting the program, but the same error. Is it maybe because I install it on a XP SP3 machine? should it be a simple XP machine?
I have noticed a thing: when installing, the installation slider goes up to 16% and then the installation finishes suddenly. It does not make a desktop icon as it says in installation guide, and in the add/remove programs section, it is just the name of the program, it does not show the size like other installed programs, so I think the installation process ends suddenly, without going through all process.
Any ideas?

I made it work!
Here are the new instructions:

- HYSTER Hypass Forklifts Installation Guide :

- HYPASS work ONLY on Win98, win95,WinXP
- Set Your PC date back to 1998 .
- Mount the Image, copy the files from CD-ROM in another temporary location and double click "setup.exe". Do not change the installation path!
- After the installation is finished, just copy the folder named "System" from the installation location to folder to C:\MSI\Hyster\
- Go to "Start" >> "RUN" type "REGSVR32 C:\MSI\Hyster\System\Image95\IMGEDIT.OCX", without the quotes
- The PC Date must be in 1998 before you run the Program.
- Right click on the desktop icon "HYPASS", and edit the target to: "C:\MSI\Hyster\NCOMPASS.EXE" without quotes
- RUN the sotware from the desktop icon and FILL the information.
- Use this Login Details
* Serial: 115-2504-97848
* Password: FGY67630
- Leave the ISO image mounted in the virtual drive
- Enjoy

Add-on:
While working with the program, it did not want to show pictures of the parts. It was asking for the path to the CD-ROM, in order to show the drawings with parts, but did not want to work that way. So, I copied the full content of the CD-ROM in a folder in the computer, and when the program asked for the "PARTS" folder, I pointed the way there. If nothing happens, just edit the file from"C:\MSI\HYSTER\NCOMPASS.INI" with the proper paths to files there.

One more add-on:
I have re-installed Hyster Hypass on another service laptop with Win XP SP3 as I did before, but this laptop had initially 2 GB of RAM. Everything went fine, but the program gave me the same error "out of memory...". I took out 1 GB of RAM of the computer and it works. This software cannot handle more than 1 GB of RAM.
