Diagnostic Software Options for Tractors and Trucks

I'm looking for different diagnostic software options for tractors and trucks. Can anyone provide recommendations or cost comparisons? I rely too much on the dealer and end up paying a lot. My brother also has some construction equipment and uses CNH diagnostic tool; he's interested in expanding his toolkit.

Any additional comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
