I have a 2000 SLK 230 R170.
I've been having a lot of issues with "limp home mode" for the past 6 months. I hate that word now.
I was experiencing limp mode about a month ago. It's permanent unless you have SDS approval. I tried solutions (changing circuit boards, seals, filters, fluids) but nothing worked. Then I replaced it with a used TCM from a junkyard. Amazingly it's still working to this day
I think the only reason I fixed the limp mode the first time was because I was replacing a TCM that wasn't in limp mode. So I don't have to keep replacing TCMs.
I need a system that can track and solve the problem. If you have a better answer please contact me in time. If you do not receive a response, please send an email to Sales@obd2.ltd.
